उच्च तथा नीच राशियों में स्थित ग्रहों के फल—-–
भारतवर्ष में अधिकतर ज्योतिषियों तथा ज्योतिष में रूचि रखने वाले लोगों के मन में उच्च तथा नीच राशियों में स्थित ग्रहों को लेकर एक प्रबल धारणा बनी हुई है कि अपनी उच्च राशि में स्थित ग्रह सदा शुभ फल देता है तथा अपनी नीच राशि में स्थित ग्रह सदा नीच फल देता है। उदाहरण के लिए शनि ग्रह को तुला राशि में स्थित होने से अतिरिक्त बल प्राप्त होता है तथा इसीलिए तुला राशि में स्थित शनि को उच्च का शनि कह कर संबोधित किया जाता है और अधिकतर ज्योतिषियों का यह मानना है कि तुला राशि में स्थित शनि कुंडली धारक के लिए सदा शुभ फलदायी होता है।
किंतु यह धारणा एक भ्रांति से अधिक कुछ नहीं है तथा इसका वास्तविकता से कोई सरोकार नहीं है और इसी भ्रांति में विश्वास करके बहुत से ज्योतिष प्रेमी जीवन भर नुकसान उठाते रहते हैं क्योंकि उनकी कुंडली में तुला राशि में स्थित शनि वास्तव में अशुभ फलदायी होता है तथा वे इसे शुभ फलदायी मानकर अपने जीवन में आ रही समस्याओं का कारण दूसरे ग्रहों में खोजते रहते हैं तथा अपनी कुंडली में स्थित अशुभ फलदायी शनि के अशुभ फलों में कमी लाने का कोई प्रयास तक नहीं करते। इस चर्चा को आगे बढ़ाने से पहले आइए एक नज़र में ग्रहों के उच्च तथा नीच राशियों में स्थित होने की स्थिति पर विचार कर लें।
नवग्रहों में से प्रत्येक ग्रह को किसी एक राशि विशेष में स्थित होने से अतिरिक्त बल प्राप्त होता है जिसे इस ग्रह की उच्च की राशि कहा जाता है। इसी तरह अपनी उच्च की राशि से ठीक सातवीं राशि में स्थित होने पर प्रत्येक ग्रह के बल में कमी आ जाती है तथा इस राशि को इस ग्रह की नीच की राशि कहा जाता है। उदाहरण के लिए शनि ग्रह की उच्च की राशि तुला है तथा इस राशि से ठीक सातवीं राशि अर्थात मेष राशि शनि ग्रह की नीच की राशि है तथा मेष में स्थित होने से शनि ग्रह का बल क्षीण हो जाता है। इसी प्रकार हर एक ग्रह की .. राशियों में से एक उच्च की राशि तथा एक नीच की राशि होती है।
किंतु यहां पर यह समझ लेना अति आवश्यक है कि किसी भी ग्रह के अपनी उच्च या नीच की राशि में स्थित होने का संबंध केवल उसके बलवान या बलहीन होने से होता है न कि उसके शुभ या अशुभ होने से। तुला में स्थित शनि भी कुंडली धारक को बहुत से अशुभ फल दे सकता है जबकि मेष राशि में स्थित नीच राशि का शनि भी कुंडली धारक को बहुत से लाभ दे सकता है। इसलिए ज्योतिष में रूचि रखने वाले लोगों को यह बात भली भांति समझ लेनी चाहिए कि उच्च या नीच राशि में स्थित होने का प्रभाव केवल ग्रह के बल पर पड़ता है न कि उसके स्वभाव पर।
आइए कुछ तथ्यों की सहायता से इस विचार को समझने का प्रयास करते हैं। शनि नवग्रहों में सबसे धीमी गति से भ्रमण करते हैं तथा एक राशि में लगभग अढ़ाई वर्ष तक रहते हैं अर्थात शनि अपनी उच्च की राशि तुला तथा नीच की राशि मेष में भी अढ़ाई वर्ष तक लगातार स्थित रहते हैं। यदि ग्रहों के अपनी उच्च या नीच राशियों में स्थित होने से शुभ या अशुभ होने की प्रचलित धारणा को सत्य मान लिया जाए तो इसका अर्थ यह निकलता है कि शनि के तुला में स्थित रहने के अढ़ाई वर्ष के समय काल में जन्में प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के लिए शनि शुभ फलदायी होंगे क्योंकि इन वर्षों में जन्में सभी लोगों की जन्म कुंडली में शनि अपनी उच्च की राशि तुला में ही स्थित होंगे। यह विचार व्यवहारिकता की कसौटी पर बिलकुल भी नहीं टिकता क्योंकि देश तथा काल के हिसाब से हर ग्रह अपना स्वभाव थोड़े-थोड़े समय के पश्चात ही बदलता रहता है तथा किसी भी ग्रह का स्वभाव कुछ घंटों के लिए भी एक जैसा नहीं रहता, फिर अढ़ाई वर्ष तो बहुत लंबा समय है।
इसलिए ग्रहों के अपनी उच्च या नीच की राशि में स्थित होने का मतलब केवल उनके बलवान या बलहीन होने से समझना चाहिए न कि उनके शुभ या अशुभ होने से। मैने अपने ज्योतिष अभ्यास के कार्यकाल में ऐसी बहुत सी कुंडलियां देखी हैं जिनमें अपनी उच्च की राशि में स्थित कोई ग्रह बहुत अशुभ फल दे रहा होता है क्योंकि अपनी उच्च की राशि में स्थित होने से ग्रह बहुत बलवान हो जाता है, इसलिए उसके अशुभ होने की स्थिति में वह अपने बलवान होने के कारण सामान्य से बहुत अधिक हानि करता है। इसी तरह मेरे अनुभव में ऐसीं भी बहुत सी कुंडलियां आयीं हैं जिनमें कोई ग्रह अपनी नीच की राशि में स्थित होने पर भी स्वभाव से शुभ फल दे रहा होता है किन्तु बलहीन होने के कारण इन शुभ फलों में कुछ न कुछ कमी रह जाती है। ऐसे लोगों को अपनी कुंडली में नीच राशि में स्थित किन्तु शुभ फलदायी ग्रहों के रत्न धारण करने से बहुत लाभ होता है क्योंकि ऐसे ग्रहों के रत्न धारण करने से इन ग्रहों को अतिरिक्त बल मिलता है तथा यह ग्रह बलवान होकर अपने शुभ फलों में वृद्धि करने में सक्षम हो जाते हैं।
The placement of a planet in its sign of exaltation only indicates that the planet is very strong and the results produced by this planet are going to be very significant ones. But those results may be significantly positive or significantly negative depending upon the nature of the exalted planet in a horoscope. For example an exalted and positive Saturn is capable of producing very strong positive results regarding the significances ruled by it, regarding the house it is placed in and the planets and houses it aspects, while on the other hand there is almost no planet in a horoscope which is as destructive as a negative and exalted Saturn. A negative Saturn placed in Libra can be destructive to extremely destructive and can destroy the significances of the houses and planets aspected by it altogether.
I have personally witnessed many cases where Saturn is exalted and negative in the horoscope and the natives are suffering with great pains and difficulties in different field of their lives depending upon the placement of Saturn in different houses of the horoscope. And the most amazing and upsetting thing is that most of the people suffering heavily due to a negative exalted planet are finding the cause of their miseries and sufferings in some other planet because these people believe that an exalted planet simply means a very strongly positive planet and it is never supposed to cause any harm. And due to this misconception, they are not able to find the planet responsible for their sufferings for very long periods of their lives and sometimes people are not able to find it at all throughout their lives and they just keep guessing about which planet can be the cause of their sufferings and misfortunes. And sometime their misconception about an exalted planet in their horoscope is so strong that they are not willing to believe even an astrologer who tells them that an exalted planet in their horoscope is working negative and is the root cause of most of their problems. Such people refuse to believe the astrologer and look for some other astrologer who can find the cause of their problems with some other planet which is not exalted. And the easiest planets in a horoscope to blame for all the sufferings, misfortunes and problems are debilitated planets.
Exalted and Debilitated Planets—–
Exalted planets are the cause of major misconceptions among the people practicing and interested in astrology. Most of the people interested in astrology and many astrologers believe that the meaning of an Exalted planet in a horoscope is that the planet is strongly positive for the native and is very likely to produce strong positive results regarding the general significances ruled by it, the house it occupies and the aspects it is casting on other planets and houses. For example, an exalted Saturn in Libra is considered very good by many astrologers and it is believed that a person having Saturn placed in Libra in his horoscope is very likely going to be blessed by the good results of Saturn throughout his life. In the same way it is considered that an exalted Sun placed in Aries in a horoscope is a sure indication of very good results which may include securing good posts in government departments and administrative fields among other things. And similarly all the other planets in their signs of exaltation are considered to be strongly positive and they are associated with strong positive results. But this is just a misconception and the placement of a planet in its sign of exaltation in a horoscope does not imply that the planet is positive in nature.
